so… it’s funny that i’m writing this review… and i’m talking about a haze that surrounds a certain planet… and i feel at the same time a haze that surrounds me… i’m really tired right now… and it’s difficult to focus… i’m gonna take a quick break and jam to some Connick…

hey… i’m gonna write a new poem…

so… say you’re browsing the web and you get this pop-up window that asks for permission to install “gaget-doo super browser bar” or something equally stupid… you notice how there’s a little check box that you can select to ALWAYS trust that source to install stuff on your computer?… why isn’t there a check box to NEVER trust that source?… that’s all i’m asking for… anyway… i did a new review for the TRu today… and i set up deep linking finally… ta-da!… (it’s a review of the latest from Jars of Clay, by the way)… fancy, eh?… more like about time in my mind… anyway… there’s plenty more to come this week… i happen to know of a certain CD begging for a Morning Walk TRu… and i’m answering a “reviewer’s challange” from one of the amigos… and i really will kick my own face in if i don’t get around to sending a couple reviews over to HHFTS soon…

Titans rolling over me… giants that are crushing me… *guitars* here it…. comes….. *ping*… DEEEESTROOOOOOY….. DIVIIIIIIIIIDE…

silly xanga… if that link doesn’t work for you (i.e. if you have a pop-up blocker going on)… try to right-click it and see if it works… anyway…

happy tuesday… today will be interesting i suppose… i have to head across town soon to sign away my house… and then head back to work to finish my duties… i’m really not sure how long it will take… hopefully shorter than it takes me to write a xanga entry…

i’m gonna pretend that it doesn’t exist… if it bothers you… i suggest you do the same… enough of that…

so, it’s Monday… a new day… a new week… i’m behind… yeah… an hour and forty minute commute set this week off on the wrong foot… among other things… well we officially sell our house tomorrow if all goes as scheduled… so that’s cool… well… if all goes well… oh… and here you go… the reason for my glee:

word… and suddenly life makes sense…

“i don’t know dude… i think everyone’s all jealous and (*dj scratches*)… ’cause i’m like the lead singer of the band dude… and i think everybody’s got a (*dj scratches*) problem with me dude… and they need to take it up with me after the show”…

so i read a bit further today… and i can see that my opinion is already shaping… and it’s going to lead to a lot of debate… it probably shouldn’t surprise me that once again… i’m clearly in contention with one of the pop icons in the Christian bubble… it may still be far too premature to make this judgement… i’m just seeing quickly that there has been liberties taken that, well, shouldn’t have been… anyway… i’ll move on…

hey, i did it again… another mix CD… prepare to drool…

1. A Day at the Races – Jurassic 5
2. Leave It Alone – Malachi Perez
3. We Came to Show – Peace 586 ft. Pigeon John
4. My Time to Shine – Wordz
5. Main Event – 4th Avenue Jones
6. Supreme Composition – Phonetic Composition
7. Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like dAT) – Digable Planets
8. Do You Believe – Grits
9. Big Dipper – LA Symphony
10. Follow the Leader – Eric B & Rakim
11. The Boy Who Could Fly – Fiti Futuristic
12. Hall of Justice – Deepspace 5
13. Joey – Joey the Jerk
14. Speeding Porsches! – Brainwash Projects
15. YouDon’tKnowTheHalf.com (Remix) – Lojique
16. All That it Takes (Remix) – The Procussions
17. A Mantra to Breathe to – Sintaxtheterrrific
18. I’m the Best in the World – Pigeon John

whew… i can’t wait to listen to that… i might have to go home early just to start hearing it… anyway… i made this mix specifically because i forgot to include A Day at the Races on the last one… and that was part of why i made the last one in the first place… i suppose part of the joy of mixes is realizing what you forgot…

so… it’s friday… so you can expect to see a Moment coming to you some time soon… surely you’ve already peeped the Ginny Owens Walk TRu… it’s downright unAmerican not to… or something… i’m off to see what i can do about these gas prices… i’ll leave you with this… Should i go to Creation East?…

did i? i do believe i did… yeah… i’m not all that sure why either… anyway… that’s stage one and part of stage two… or something that sounds a little mysterious… a little mischievous… a little quirky… and something else… well… once again, God came through in a cool way… i’ll leave it at that… but you know God’s working when you are totally amazed… (okay, God still works even if you aren’t amazed, but still)…

let’s see… oh… off we go… i’m gonna hi-jack some of this entry and dedicate it to the ongoing saga of man versus machine…

The Ghost in the Machine (Part Four)…

This episode is dedicated to my car stereo… i realize that part of the blame falls squarely on the shoulders of Mazda’s employees that thought it would be a good idea to put the cup holders right there in front of the radio controls so that the cups would interfere with the ease of operation… but there is no denying the demonization of this particular piece of machinery… here’s the thing… i’m driving along… or, you know, sitting there in traffic, day-dreaming about driving… and i decide to check the traffic report… so i push the button to switch from CD feed to radio feed and i’m listening and the station changes…grr… my coffee mug was firmly planted on the preset buttons and changed it over to the Christian radio station… now… that’s normally not such a bad thing… i mean… Christian radio is generally not so bad… well… it wouldn’t be on my presets if i didn’t listen once in a while… but this morning… dear sweet sanity… Carman’s The Champion is coming through my speakers… yeah… that’s simply NOT cool… so i got that straightened out… listened to the bleak traffic report… and switched back over to my CDs… and as the trusty mix CD transitioned between the Symph and Mars ILL… i found myself leaning in towards the steering wheel closer and closer… when i realized how weird that was, i also realized that the sound had almost completely dropped out… just as i crank it up and i’m thinking, “what a crappy burn,” it occurs to me that it wasn’t the CD’s fault… the ghost in the machine had turned the volume down… this same fiend also cranks the volume at the most inopportune times… (like in the midst of turns)… and also periodically kicks in the bass boost at it’s whim…

okay… back to your regularly scheduled web-browsing…

peace… love… bdg…

so yesterday’s post was all about stirring up the waters i suppose… oh well… for the record… i didn’t say they were “immature”… just basing their judgements on the wrong criteria… anyway… today’s contention is slightly more humorous…

Say the Katinas squared off with Salvador in a West Side Story type brawl… who do you suppose wins? *snap snap*…

Ah yes… ’tis Thursday in all it’s glory… speaking of glory… Gloria 34 is like my favorite song on the new Taylor Sorensen CD… and GUESS WHAT?… you can get it for a penny!… that’s right, a penny (plus shipping the total comes to roughly $2)… Is Grassroots Music CRAZY?… actually it’s Rocketown’s idea… perhaps they’re trying to catch Casting Crowns as the fastest-selling new artist… who cares?… cash in now… one per customer… but you can’t really go wrong for $2 can you?…

so… i read another chapter… (over ten pages today o.o)… i don’t know what came over me… Babette is compelling, i guess… anyway… i should, like, do something, right?… how about a Walk TRu sometime soon?… how about some reviews?… how about… oh!… i know… you can peep the Dove Feature *edit* the javascript replaced “Commentary” with “Clever Banterary” HA! *end edit*… whew… i can relax again… oh yeah… there is work… hi ho hi ho… it’s off to work i go…

peace… love… bdg…
