so… first off… yes. i did vote… no. i’m not still wearing my sticker… i mean, what’s the deal with wearing your sticker all day long… what, like i vote and suddenly i become immature enough to be enamoured by a sticker such that it’s cool to wear it on my shirt?… anyway… one last thought on the two candidates… it struck me that Kerry’s slogan is “A Stronger America” and Bush’s is “A Safer World”… and as i thought about which i’d rather have, regardless of who was representing which, it’s pretty clear to me that i’d prefer a safer world…

now, i’m not saying that either candidate will or can deliver what the slogans call for, but even still i think it reveals the heart of each candidate… a stronger America to me implies a selfish focus at all costs… better ourselves regardless of how it affects others… a safer world on the other hand, implies that the focus would be placed on doing things for the benefit of others… and honestly, we already are the strongest nation out there and that’s why a lot of others hate us… and as strong as we are, we still got attacked… effectively, destructively and creatively… so how strong would be strong enough?… personally i think it’s time we stopped focusing on making ourselves stronger and used the strength that we already have to help those in need…

i know there’s a better way to put that… and i have several alternatives in my head but i don’t have time to capture them all… we can discuss it further if you like… now i must depart…

peace… love… bdg…
