well, that was quite a week… i was off work on vacation, my wife was off on a cruise with some friends and i still managed to watch the clock hands spin around at lightning speed… not much to say for myself as far as writing goes this past week, but i did get a number of things accomplished and i got some long needed downtime… anyway, it’s already Saturday and i need to get my football stuff squared away… so, no delay, off we go…
SPORTS: WEEK EIGHT
to the tune of Crazy – Gnarls Barkley
i just realized now that i haven’t set my rosters in place for this week’s fantasy matchups so i need to remember to do that before i am too late… now, in the matter of my picks… i went 9-5 again… after a number of teams let me down, (I’m looking at you Jets and Cowboys), and that makes me 60-42 on the year…
now, some bragging rights… The BILLS! (baby) are tearing up the league with a record of 5-1 already which is the first time since the 90s that they’ve started off so strong… this can only mean one thing folks… They’re going to lose the Superbowl!… (hey, i’m a long time Bills fan, so the humor eases my pain)… this week they get to play a Dolphins team that’s re-emerging from the dark shadows of last year’s season-long nightmare… classic rivalry and it should actually be a really good matchup… one that i’ll unfortunately miss because the Redskins are playing at one as well… ho hum…
Another good storyline this week is that the Rams are looking for a third straight win since the Jim Haslett takeover… Can a head coach change really make that much of a difference in the middle of the season? Well, the 49ers sure think and hope so as they pulled the plug on their coach, Mike Nolan in lieu of Mike Singletary… we’ll see what kind of difference he can make … of course, it helps that they’re playing the Seahwks this week…
Anyway, it’s about time for me to check out, so here are my picks for this week…
